LAPPING
It has been confirmed that improving the roughness of the raceways improves the bearing's service life by up to double. METER performs superfinishing of the raceways in both ball and cylindrical roller bearings in order to optimise bearing performance. In addition to improving surface roughness, the lapping process improves form tolerances such as roundness, straightness, flatness, taper and compensates for errors in part profile.
LAPPING
It is confirmed that by improving the surface roughness of the raceways, the liferating of the bearings can be increased up to double its actual value. Therefore the super-finishing of the raceways on our ball and roller bearings is aimed to optimize the bearing performance. The super-finishing process, besides giving to the surface a low roughness, improves the form tolerances of roundness, waviness, flatness, cylindricity and compensate profile errors on the parts.
